These hoops use great Stability-Strength Technology to install the pole directly into the ground and secure that with concrete inside the pole for better stability and strength. The spring-activated rim flexes under pressure, which is very similar to professional-style rims. The breakaway rim on this basketball goal also protects the backboard and prevents player injuries. Both in-ground goals use an all-steel crank actuator, in order to get the the basketball hoop adjusted from the NBA and NCAA regulation rim height of 10 feet to the safety-approved 7.5 feet in height. The backboard is at a fixed height and is not height adjustable; it is not able to be raised or lowered.
