Goalrilla Donates Basketball Equipment to Hoop Bus for a Great Cause

During the 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend, Goalrilla Basketball teamed up with partner The Hoop Bus Inc. and provided upgraded basketball accessories and basketball hoops for their latest projects.

“We are thrilled to partner with Hoop Bus again and share the love of basketball all over," says Emily Patton, Brand Manager of Goalrilla Basketball. “At Goalrilla, we always want to help give back in ways big and small and encourage more young athletes they can keep dreaming bigger.”

About the Courts:

St. Peters Elementary School and Middle School is in the mission district of San Francisco and is home to a beautiful diverse student body of around 200 students. Hoop Bus stepped in as a partner to refurbish their outdoor basketball court with the help of local artists Darin Balaban, Bud Snow, TJ, and LaMaxima. This court was designed by arts teacher Ria Fresnoza and was brought to life with more than 20 art students serving as first time court painters. The court was inaugurated with a special celebration honoring the school, student participants, traditional aztec dancers, and a P.E. Takeover school assembly featuring global Hoop Bus ambassadors. Goalrilla Basketball supplied upgraded basketball goal units.

“Today was the first day I lowered the hoop and we had little girls playing basketball for the first time. They were so excited when they made it in,” says Principal Sandra Jimenez.

Linden Park was fully refurbished as part of All-Star Weekend into the Dope Era playground, a partnership in collaboration with local rapper Mistah FAB. Dope Era refers to Fab's movement of being a kid in the dope era that broke the cycle to become a hope healer. The court was executed by Hoop Bus, with Goalrilla Basketball providing basketball pole pads and backboard protectors. The court was inaugurated with more than 1,000 people coming together for a youth skills clinic with special guest Tyler Hero, a ribbon cutting, a skate rail competition (made from the replaced basketball goal at St. Peters) and a community 3x3 tournament.

Ingleside Church is a court in San Francisco which features the life work of Pastor Reverend Roland Gordon, who has worked on handlaying a collage covering nearly every inch of walls on multiple floors over 45 years. The work was initially started as a means of providing a safe space away from gun violence. The court was given an upgrade to the existing equipment (new rims, new nets, replaced scoreboard) and received a fresh wax and seal, with Goalrilla Basketball providing upgraded backboard protectors. The court was inaugurated with a ceremony that brought the Program Director Mike's kids and families for a youth clinic, open run, group prayer, film screening of Glenn Kaino's Hoops Hopes and Dreams (first premier outside of Sundance), and food.

“We couldn't be more grateful for the support of Goalrilla this NBA All- Star Weekend to support Hoop Bus’ impact in refurbishing courts. Each one of this year's spaces were truly felt and truly deserving of the upgrades they received,” said Tobias DiMarco, Executive Director at Hoop Bus Inc.
